MCD launched the Nashua Mobile Welcome Pack project on the 1 March 2008, after a mere 4 months of development from first meeting with the client. The Nashua Mobile challenge as a service provider that marketed and sold 3 different network’s product offerings, was to communicate successfully with their customers, but more than that, to send out material that is current, relevant and unique. Their existing lithographically printed welcome pack comprised information relating to all three networks (Vodacom, MTN and Cell C), and every time any network related changes were implemented, the entire welcome pack would be outdated. Also, in terms of achieving economies of scale, they printed large volumes, increasing the risk of having to discard the units that cannot be used due to the information being outdated.

The digital offering obviously suited them perfectly – providing an exciting, versioned and personalised welcome pack tailored to the individual client.
